Indoor kitchens in natural stone
Minimalism in its purest form: every front and every surface is made of natural stone. Made entirely in Italy, the result is a whole that can never be produced a second time.
Cubic, straight-lined, without ornament.
A stone kitchen adapts to the room and yet remains its centre. Handle-free fronts, drawers with stone fronts, a flush-mounted hob and a sink carved from the stone: every element follows the same clear line.
Tall units with stone fronts house the refrigerator, oven and tableware. Indirect plinth lighting makes the body appear to float. What remains is the surface itself: the colour, structure and veining of a material older than any house.
Adolf Loos, a pioneer of modern architecture, called for the renunciation of ornament. Stone kitchens carry this idea forward: cubic form, clean edge, nothing superfluous.
Two kitchens, two stones.
